Вивчено досвід правового регулювання ринку цінних паперів у Російській імперії у ХІХ ст. Він свідчить, що перші

кроки в новій для Росії сфері суспільних відносин здійснені в кінці XVIII ст. Акцентовано увагу на тім, яке місце посідала імператриця Катерина ІІ в закладенні основ ринку цінних паперів. Стверджується, що поширенню ринку цінних паперів у Російській імперії сприяла поява акціонерних компаній. Наведено статистику розвитку акціонерних компаній, яка свідчить про збільшення їхньої чисельності в першій половині ХІХ ст. Акціонерні компанії стали місцем акумуляції цінних паперів не тільки в Росії, а й у інших країнах Західної та Центральної Європи. Указано, що ринок цінних паперів у імперії відставав у своєму розвитку на кілька десятків років, проте прийняте законодавство дещо збалансувало становище.

MARKET OF SECURITIES IN COORDINATES OF RUSSIAN RIGHTS IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE XIX-th ST.

The experience of legal regulation of the securities market in the Russian Empire in the nineteenth century was studied. He testifies that the first steps in the new sphere of social relations, carried out at the end of the XVIII century. Emphasized attention on the place of Empress Catherine II in laying the foundations of the securities market. It is alleged that the emergence of joint-stock companies contributed to the expansion of the securities market in the Russian Empire. The statistics on the growth of the number of joint-stock companies are presented, which shows an

increase in their number in the first half of the nineteenth century. Joint-stock companies became the place of accumulation of securities not only in Russia but also in other countries of Western and Central Europe. It is indicated that the securities market in the empire has lagged behind in its development for several decades, but the legislation adopted somewhat balanced the situation.
