Досліджується поняття та сутність пільги як правової категорії. Досліджено доктринальні підходи щодо розуміння сутності поняття пільги в теорії права соціального забезпечення. Окреслено особливості історико-правового розвитку зазначеного правового явища. Акцентовано увагу на відмінності поняття пільги від заохочення, компенсації, гарантій.

СONCEPT AND ESSENCE OF THE PRIVILEGE AS A LEGAL CATEGORY

The article explores the concept and essence of privileges as a legal category. The doctrinal approaches to understanding the essence of the concept of privilege in the theory of social security law are investigated. The features of the historical and legal development of this legal phenomenon are outlined. The emphasis is placed on the distinction between the concept of benefits from promotion and compensation.
